Supply Chain Analyst - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team, supporting their extensive FMCG business remotely. This role is pivotal in optimizing inventory levels, improving logistics efficiency, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods from suppliers to customers across the UK. You will utilize data analytics to identify areas for improvement, implement cost-saving measures, and enhance the overall resilience of the supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain principles, advanced analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic FMCG environment .

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization in inventory, logistics, and demand planning.
• Develop and maintain supply chain performance dashboards and reports, providing actionable insights to management.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives across the supply chain, negotiating with suppliers and service providers.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend strategies to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize stock-outs.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in supply chain analysis or operations, preferably within the FMCG industry .
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) and supply chain planning software.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics, and demand forecasting principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote-working role.
