About the Role
Our client is seeking a data-driven Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in Portsmouth . This role is critical for optimizing the company's supply chain operations through data analysis, process improvement, and performance monitoring. You will be responsible for gathering and interpreting supply chain data, identifying trends, and recommending strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of supply chain principles, and proficiency in data analysis tools. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations, monitoring performance against targets.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on supply chain performance, trends, and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to implement process improvements.
- Assist in demand forecasting and inventory planning to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of supply chain strategies and recommend adjustments as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and potentially BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Operations Research, or a related field is preferred.
