Supply Chain Analyst

About the Role

Our client seeks a meticulous and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to enhance their operations within the FMCG industry in Edinburgh . You will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory levels, improving logistical efficiency, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods from production to the end consumer. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong quantitative skills, and the ability to identify and implement process improvements. Working within a dedicated supply chain team, you will contribute to ensuring product availability and minimizing costs across the network, supporting a critical function for our client's success in the fast-paced FMCG market.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and cost-saving opportunities in Edinburgh and beyond.
• Develop and maintain forecasting models for demand planning, ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet customer needs for FMCG products.
• Monitor key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead times, delivery accuracy, and inventory turnover.
• Collaborate with logistics providers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient transportation and warehousing.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain visibility, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Support the procurement team by providing data-driven insights for supplier performance evaluation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar analytical role within logistics or operations.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including Excel and ideally SQL or Python.
• Experience with supply chain management software and ERP systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
