About the Role
Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in Reading . This role is instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's supply chain operations through data analysis and process improvement. You will be responsible for gathering and interpreting data, identifying trends, and developing recommendations to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, proficiency in analytical tools, and a deep understanding of supply chain principles. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain.
- Conduct data modeling and forecasting to predict demand and optimize inventory levels.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to implement process improvements.
- Research industry best practices and emerging trends to inform supply chain strategies.
- Support the development and execution of supply chain strategies and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience in a supply chain or logistics analysis role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and ideally a BI tool like Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent understanding of supply chain concepts, inventory management, and forecasting methods.
- Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
