About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and proactive Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team, supporting the FMCG sector from Belfast . This role is critical for optimizing inventory levels, improving logistics efficiency, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods from production to the end consumer. You will leverage data analytics to identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements, and implement strategies that enhance overall supply chain performance. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, lead times, and transportation costs.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely product availability.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the supply chain, utilizing data-driven insights and best practices.
- Support the planning and execution of product distribution, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery to customers across the UK.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of third-party logistics providers, negotiating service level agreements and monitoring performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations, preferably within the FMCG sector .
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and experience with ERP or WMS systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with inventory management techniques and logistics optimization strategies.
