About the Role
Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in Glasgow . This role is pivotal in analyzing and optimizing our supply chain processes, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and improving overall efficiency. You will leverage data to provide insights and recommendations, working closely with various departments to enhance inventory management, transportation, and supplier performance, thereby contributing to strategic decision-making and the company's competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key supply chain metrics (e.g., lead times, costs, inventory turnover).
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to implement process improvements.
- Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to optimize stock availability and minimize holding costs.
- Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for strategic sourcing and cost reduction.
- Support the development and implementation of new supply chain strategies and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supply chain analysis or operations role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
