Supply Chain Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to join their logistics operations based in Birmingham . This role is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods throughout the supply chain, from procurement to final delivery. You will work closely with suppliers, transportation companies, and internal departments to manage logistics, track shipments, and resolve any issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics activities, including shipment tracking, scheduling, and documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery times, and resolve any supply chain discrepancies.
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders and carriers, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and related expenses within the company's ERP system.
• Identify and address potential supply chain disruptions, proposing and implementing solutions to minimize impact.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supply chain , logistics, or coordination role.
• Proficiency with logistics software and inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is advantageous.
