Our client is looking for a strategic Supply Chain Engineer to optimize their logistics and material flow in Randburg . This role is vital for enhancing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for analyzing existing supply chain processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to streamline operations. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and map current supply chain processes, from procurement to delivery, to identify inefficiencies.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory management, warehousing, and logistics operations.
- Utilize data analytics to forecast demand, manage stock levels, and reduce lead times.
- Collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal departments to ensure seamless material flow.
- Implement Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies within the supply chain.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and systems to enhance supply chain visibility and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain engineering or logistics optimization.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics planning.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and data analysis tools .
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
