Supply Chain Manager - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly capable Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize their logistics and supply chain operations for their FMCG business in Cardiff . This critical role involves managing inventory, warehousing, transportation, and supplier relationships to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance service levels within a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated team and implementing best practices to maintain a robust and responsive supply chain network.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations , including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics costs, improve delivery times, and enhance overall efficiency.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
• Lead and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Utilize data analytics to monitor supply chain performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Significant experience in supply chain management , ideally within the FMCG industry .
• Proven ability to manage complex logistics operations and negotiate effectively with suppliers.
• Strong understanding of inventory management techniques and warehouse operations.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
