Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee operations for their FMCG business in the Manchester area. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain, fostering strong relationships with suppliers, and implementing best practices to enhance operational performance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to optimize costs, improve efficiency, and ensure product availability.
- Manage all aspects of inventory planning, warehousing, and distribution to meet customer demand effectively.
- Oversee procurement processes, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and ensuring quality standards.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Implement and leverage supply chain technologies and analytics to enhance visibility and decision-making.
- Collaborate with production, sales, and finance departments to ensure seamless integration of supply chain operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain management, with a significant focus on the FMCG industry .
- Proven expertise in inventory management, demand forecasting, and logistics planning.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of managing supplier relationships effectively.
- Experience with supply chain software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems) and data analysis tools.
