Support Worker - Adults with Disabilities

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and feeding, while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Support individuals in engaging in daily activities, hobbies, and community outings tailored to their interests and abilities.
• Assist with medication administration as per care plans and medical guidance.
• Encourage and support individuals in developing life skills, fostering independence and self-confidence.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, observations, and any changes in individual needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably supporting individuals with learning disabilities or physical impairments.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals and their families.
• A compassionate and patient demeanour, with a genuine commitment to promoting well-being.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the rota.
• Basic IT literacy for record-keeping and communication purposes.
