Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities in their homes and community settings.
- Assist with personal care, domestic duties, and medication as required, promoting independence.
- Support clients in engaging in social, recreational, and educational activities.
- Help individuals develop life skills and achieve personal goals outlined in their support plans.
- Liaise with families, advocates, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of support provided and observations.
Requirements
- Experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities or similar client groups is essential.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
- Commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and choice for clients.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required in Derby .
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is advantageous.
