Our client is seeking a motivated and empathetic Support Worker to join their team in Derby , working within a hybrid model that includes both in-person support and remote administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with learning disabilities, focusing on their specific needs and goals.
- Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and accessing community services.
- Promote independence, social inclusion, and skill development through engaging activities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of support provided, using both paper-based and digital systems.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals involved in their care.
- Participate in remote team meetings and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities is highly desirable.
- A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a hybrid working schedule and manage time effectively.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and person-centred planning.
- Willingness to undertake further training and development.
