Key Responsibilities

• Provide essential personal care and practical support to residents with learning disabilities, respecting their dignity and choices.
• Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, personal hygiene, and household chores.
• Facilitate residents' engagement in community activities, hobbies, and social events to enhance their quality of life.
• Support residents in developing life skills and promoting their independence through positive encouragement.
• Monitor residents' health and behaviour, documenting observations accurately and reporting any concerns to the senior team.

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities is advantageous.
• A good understanding of person-centred care principles and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
• Strong communication and listening skills, with patience and empathy.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team and independently when necessary.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, as required.
