Supporter Engagement Officer

About the Role

Our client, a leading charity focused on environmental conservation, is looking for an enthusiastic Supporter Engagement Officer to enhance their presence in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for nurturing our donor base, inspiring continued support, and cultivating new relationships. You will play a key part in communicating the impact of our work and ensuring our supporters feel valued and connected to our mission, contributing to the charity's growth and sustainability through effective engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engagement plans for existing supporters across various channels (email, social media, mail).
• Organise and promote supporter events and stewardship activities in the Newcastle area.
• Manage supporter databases and ensure accurate, up-to-date record-keeping.
• Create engaging content for newsletters, social media, and fundraising appeals.
• Respond to supporter enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Work collaboratively with the fundraising and communications teams to achieve shared objectives.

Requirements

• Experience in supporter relations , marketing, or communications, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using CRM systems and digital communication tools.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A proactive approach to engagement and a genuine passion for environmental causes.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in Tyne and Wear .
