Surveyor - Mine and Land

About the Role

Our client seeks a detail-oriented Surveyor to manage land and mine surveys for their operations based in or near Belfast . You will be responsible for precise measurement and mapping of land boundaries, resource sites, and underground workings, ensuring accurate data for planning, development, and regulatory compliance. This role is essential for providing the foundational spatial data required for all mining and land management activities in Northern Ireland. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical surveying skills and a commitment to accuracy in a dynamic industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using advanced surveying equipment.
• Map and monitor underground mine workings and surface excavations.
• Establish and maintain control networks for mining operations.
• Process and analyze survey data, producing accurate maps, models, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant surveying standards and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, geologists, and project managers to provide spatial information.

Requirements

• HND/HNC or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of professional surveying experience, ideally with exposure to mining or construction.
• Proficiency with Total Stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and laser scanning technology.
• Experience with surveying software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK and able to work on-site in the Belfast area and surrounding mining locations.
