About the Role

Our client is recruiting a Sustainable Agriculture Consultant to advise on environmentally sound farming practices from their base near Leeds . This role focuses on helping agricultural businesses reduce their environmental footprint, improve resource efficiency, and adopt innovative sustainable methods. You will engage with a variety of clients, conducting site assessments, developing action plans, and providing ongoing support to ensure the successful implementation of sustainable agriculture initiatives. This position is crucial for promoting ecological balance and economic viability in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess current farming practices and identify opportunities for environmental improvement and resource conservation.
• Develop customized sustainability action plans for clients, focusing on soil health, water management, and biodiversity.
• Provide guidance on organic farming, regenerative agriculture, and precision farming techniques.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented strategies and recommend adjustments as needed.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and policy changes impacting sustainable agriculture.

Requirements

• Degree in Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
• Experience in providing agricultural consultancy services or managing sustainable farming projects.
• Strong understanding of ecological principles and their application in agriculture.
• Excellent analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with farmers and land managers.
