About the Role

Our client is searching for a forward-thinking Sustainable Architect to spearhead environmentally conscious design initiatives from their Leeds office. This role is critical in driving the adoption of green building practices across all projects, focusing on reducing environmental impact and enhancing building performance. You will champion innovative sustainable technologies and materials, work towards achieving high environmental certification standards (e.g., BREEAM, LEED), and advise clients on best practices for energy efficiency and ecological design. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainable design strategies for all projects, ensuring minimal environmental impact.
• Conduct energy modeling, life cycle assessments, and environmental impact studies.
• Research and specify sustainable building materials, technologies, and systems.
• Advise clients and project teams on achieving green building certifications like BREEAM and LEED.
• Collaborate with engineers and consultants to integrate sustainable solutions seamlessly into architectural designs.
• Stay current with advancements in sustainable architecture, building physics, and environmental policy.

Requirements

• Qualified Architect with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in sustainable design.
• Certified BREEAM Assessor or LEED AP accreditation is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience focused on sustainable building principles and practice.
• Proficiency in environmental analysis software and Revit .
• Deep understanding of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and sustainable construction techniques.
• Passion for environmental stewardship and promoting ecological design solutions.
