About the Role
Our client is looking for an innovative Sustainable Design Architect to join their practice in Sheffield . This role is dedicated to integrating cutting-edge environmental strategies and technologies into architectural design, creating buildings that are not only aesthetically compelling but also environmentally responsible and energy-efficient. You will lead the development of sustainable design approaches across a range of project types, championing green building practices and helping clients achieve their environmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate sustainable design principles and technologies into architectural projects from concept stage.
- Conduct energy analysis and environmental performance assessments for building designs.
- Specify sustainable materials and systems to minimize environmental impact.
- Advise clients and project teams on best practices for green building certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED).
- Collaborate with engineers and consultants to optimize building performance.
- Stay current with emerging trends and research in sustainable architecture and construction.
Requirements
- Qualified Architect with a strong focus on sustainable design.
- Knowledge of environmental design tools and simulation software.
- Experience with green building rating systems and certifications.
- Proficiency in Revit and other architectural design software.
- Excellent understanding of building physics, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies.
- Strong communication skills to advocate for sustainable solutions.
