Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of sustainable design strategies for architectural projects.
- Research and recommend environmentally friendly materials, technologies, and construction methods.
- Conduct energy analysis and environmental impact assessments to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with consultants to integrate renewable energy systems and green building certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED).
- Educate project teams and clients on the benefits and application of sustainable design principles.
- Ensure designs meet or exceed environmental performance targets and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Qualified Architect with a strong passion for and demonstrable experience in sustainable design .
- Proficiency in sustainability assessment tools and energy modeling software.
- Knowledge of green building standards and certifications (BREEAM, LEED, etc.).
- Experience with environmentally conscious materials and construction techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to promoting sustainable architecture within the Stoke-on-Trent community and beyond.
