Swimming Instructor (Adult & Child)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to teach adult and child classes at their popular facility in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . You will be responsible for delivering engaging and safe swimming lessons that help participants develop confidence and essential water safety skills. This role requires patience, excellent communication, and a genuine passion for teaching people of all ages to swim effectively. You will play a vital role in promoting water confidence and life-saving skills within the local Stoke-on-Trent community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured swimming lessons for adults and children of varying skill levels.
• Create a fun, safe, and encouraging learning environment for all participants.
• Ensure all lessons adhere to the highest standards of water safety and pool protocols.
• Monitor and assess participant progress, providing constructive feedback and encouraging advancement.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and development.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and progress reports for all classes.

Requirements

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent.
• Relevant swimming instructor qualification (e.g., Swim England Level 1 or Level 2).
• Previous experience teaching swimming, especially to children and adults.
• Strong water confidence and excellent swimming skills.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a friendly approach to teaching within Staffordshire .
