Clarence Recruitment is delighted to partner with a successful secondary school in Leicester seeking an outstanding Teacher of Psychology to join their thriving Social Sciences department from the new academic term. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and inspiring Psychology specialist to teach motivated students across Key Stage 4 and A-Level, helping them develop a deeper understanding of human behaviour, cognitive processes, research methods and contemporary psychological issues.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and high‑quality Psychology lessons at KS4 and A-Level
• Inspire students to achieve their full academic potential
• Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations
• Monitor, assess and report on student progress
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
• Contribute to the continued success and development of the Social Sciences faculty
• Support enrichment opportunities and wider school activities
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and raise standards
• Participate fully in parents' evenings, departmental meetings and professional development activities

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• A degree in Psychology or a related subject
• Experience teaching Psychology at KS4 and/or A-Level
• Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Psychology
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to raising attainment and delivering outstanding outcomes
• The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire students of all abilities
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
