Zest Education is proud to be supporting a specialist school in Hounslow that caters for pupils aged 6–19 with ASD and SEMH needs. As the school continues to grow, we are looking to appoint several dedicated Teaching Assistant - Autism & Social Emotional Mental Health (ASC/SEMH) to join their expanding team.

What the role involves

• Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH)

• Working within small classes of 4–6 students on average

• Providing tailored support based on your experience and strengths

• Assisting with learning activities, emotional regulation and social development

• Some personal care may be required – training and support provided

• Collaborating with teachers and therapists to create a positive, structured learning environment

What we’re looking for

• Experience in SEND settings OR transferable skills (care, youth work, psychology, sports coaching, etc.)

• Ideal for Psychology graduates looking for a relevant field

• A patient, resilient and compassionate approach

• Ability to commit to full‑time hours preferred, though part‑time days may be considered

• A desire to build long‑term relationships – this is a temp‑to‑perm role, and the school is keen to offer permanent contracts to the right people
