Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: SK16, Tameside Contract: Full-time, term-time only Start date: ASAP
Teaching Personnel is recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work full-time at a welcoming school in the SK16 area of Tameside.
This opportunity would be ideal for someone who already has experience working as a Teaching Assistant. However, applications are also encouraged from candidates with relevant experience in childcare, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, tutoring or support work.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils during lessons and helping them engage with their learning Working with individuals and small groups under the guidance of the class teacher Providing additional support to pupils with different learning needs Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment Building positive relationships with pupils, teachers and other school staff The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous Teaching Assistant experience or relevant childcare experience Is passionate about helping children and young people succeed Is patient, reliable and confident when supporting pupils Can communicate effectively with pupils and members of staff Is adaptable and willing to support across different classes when required Can reliably commute to a school in SK16, either by driving or using public transport Is available to work full-time during school hours
