SEN Teaching Assistant - Bristol
Location: Bristol Job Type: Full-time / Part-time Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience Start Date: ASAP
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs? Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and work within specialist schools and provisions across Bristol.
The successful candidate will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop their confidence and build positive relationships within the school environment. You may be supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, complex needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour.
The Role
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning Providing emotional, behavioural and pastoral support Helping pupils develop their communication, social and independence skills Supporting pupils with additional and complex needs Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable Experience supporting SEN is highly beneficial A patient, resilient and caring approach Confident managing challenging behaviour Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passionate about helping young people reach their potential A genuine interest in developing a career within education or SENWhy work with Prospero Teaching?
