Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated, enthusiastic and confident Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Darlington, supporting pupils within Key Stage 1 (KS1).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and has a confident approach to managing behaviour in the classroom.

The Role

• Supporting KS1 pupils with their learning and development.

• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and activities.

• Providing additional support to pupils who may need extra guidance.

• Managing and promoting positive behaviour within the classroom.

• Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and educational development.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working with children is essential.

• No formal qualifications are required.

• Confident and effective at managing challenging behaviour.

• Patient, resilient and approachable.

• Able to build positive relationships with pupils.

• Enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about education.

• Able to use initiative and work well as part of a team.
