Technical Business Analyst
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office)
Salary: Up to £60,000 + 15% discretionary bonus + benefits
The Opportunity
We are seeking a technical business analyst to join a growing transformation and technology consulting team. This role will suit someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, working closely with stakeholders and delivery teams, and driving business and digital transformation initiatives from discovery through to implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and document business, functional and technical requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews and discovery sessions.
- Create process maps, user journeys, business workflows and future-state operating models.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery-ready documentation.
- Perform business process analysis, gap assessments and impact analysis.
- Work closely with product owners, project managers, architects, developers and QA teams throughout the delivery life cycle.
- Support digital transformation, process improvement and technology implementation initiatives.
- Assist with testing, business readiness, change management and user adoption activities.
- Produce clear and concise presentations, reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Required Experience
- 5+ years' experience as a business analyst, technical business analyst or consultant.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting requirements in complex business environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience creating 'as-is' and 'to-be' processes, business workflows and operating models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Experience working across both business and technology teams.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, including user stories, backlog management and sprint ceremonies.
- Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Visio and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within management consulting, technology consulting or digital transformation environments.
- Exposure to data analysis, reporting or technology-enabled transformation programmes.
- Experience working on cloud, digital, CRM, analytics or enterprise technology projects.
- Knowledge of business process improvement, product delivery or customer experience transformation.
- Agile, Scrum, business analysis or project management certifications.
