About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Field Engineer to join their installation and maintenance team in Oxford . This hybrid role offers the flexibility to manage administrative tasks remotely while undertaking crucial on-site installation, servicing, and repair duties. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of technical equipment for clients throughout Oxfordshire . The ideal candidate is a technically proficient problem-solver with excellent customer service skills, capable of working independently and adapting to varied site requirements. This role is key to maintaining our high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission technical systems and equipment according to project specifications.
• Perform regular maintenance checks and diagnostics to ensure equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot and repair technical faults, minimizing downtime for clients.
• Provide on-site technical support and basic user training.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all service activities and site visits.
• Collaborate with the central support team to share technical information and resolve complex issues.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a field engineering, technical support, or installation role.
• Solid understanding of relevant hardware, software, and networking principles.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• A valid UK driving license is required for site travel.
