About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Technical Installation Specialist to join their expanding team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless deployment and setup of specialized equipment for a variety of commercial clients. You will be responsible for the physical installation, configuration, and initial testing of systems, working to high standards of quality and safety. This hybrid position allows for a balance between on-site work and remote administrative tasks, offering a flexible approach to supporting our operations in Tyne and Wear and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the precise installation of technical equipment according to project specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
- Configure and commission new systems, ensuring all components are integrated correctly and functioning optimally.
- Perform on-site diagnostics and resolve any installation-related issues promptly.
- Conduct pre-installation site surveys to identify potential challenges and ensure site readiness.
- Provide clear, concise handovers and basic operational guidance to end-users upon completion.
- Manage inventory of installation materials and equipment, ensuring tools and components are well-maintained.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a technical installation, field service, or engineering role.
- Solid understanding of installation procedures and best practices for technical hardware.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
- Strong practical skills and dexterity for handling sensitive equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively across multiple projects.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
