Technical Installer - AV Equipment

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Installer specializing in Audio-Visual (AV) equipment for projects in and around Portsmouth . You will be responsible for the precise installation, setup, and configuration of AV systems in various commercial and residential environments. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality installations. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients have seamless and professional AV solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure a wide range of AV equipment, including projectors, screens, sound systems, and control interfaces.
• Run and terminate AV cables, ensuring neat and organized installations.
• Perform system testing and commissioning to verify functionality and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues encountered during the installation process.
• Read and interpret AV schematics, floor plans, and technical documentation.
• Provide basic user training on installed AV systems as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in installing and maintaining AV systems and related technologies.
• Understanding of signal flow, video formats, audio principles, and networking basics.
• Proficiency with AV installation tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to work confidently at heights and in various installation environments.
• Good problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to technical challenges.
