Technical Product Manager
Introduction
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Product Manager to join a growing engineering business in Romsey. This newly created role has a strong technical and commercial focus, supporting product development, suppliers and internal teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and develop agreed product ranges and supplier relationships.
- Review product specifications, pricing, availability and alternatives.
- Support product improvements, new product introductions and pricing decisions.
- Maintain accurate product, technical and commercial information.
- Work closely with engineering, sales, procurement and operations teams.
- Monitor market and competitor activity.
- Provide technical and commercial advice to colleagues and customers.
- Prepare product presentations and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate projects and actions through to completion.
Ideal Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Product Management or a similar technical role.
- Engineering or mechanical background preferred.
- Experience in product development, technical products or supplier management.
- Strong understanding of specifications, costs, pricing and margins.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident using Excel and business systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel occasionally in the UK and internationally.
Salary
£35,000–£40,000, depending on experience and suitability.
Hours
Full-Time, Permanent Monday–Friday, office-based in Romsey
