Are you a commercially driven Sales Manager who knows how to win business, develop accounts and get the best out of a team?

We're working with an established, highly respected business operating across the UK's engineering, manufacturing and technical sectors, looking for an experienced Sales Manager to help drive its next stage of growth.

This is an opportunity for someone with a strong technical or industrial sales background who understands how to build relationships with major organisations, identify commercial opportunities and develop a successful sales team.

In fact, we're particularly interested in hearing from people who have sold products, services or technical solutions into engineering, manufacturing, automotive, rail, aerospace or other industrial environments.

What matters is your commercial ability, understanding of these markets and experience of leading people.

The opportunity

You'll be joining an established business with over 50 years of industry experience, strong relationships with major UK organisations and a reputation for delivering specialist solutions.

With established customer relationships and an experienced operational team already in place, this is not about starting from scratch.

It's about bringing fresh commercial energy, developing new opportunities, strengthening existing accounts and helping a team achieve its full potential.

What you'll be doing

Identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities across engineering, manufacturing and technical markets.

Building relationships with senior decision-makers, including Operations Directors, Engineering Managers, Procurement and senior leadership teams.

Leading, coaching and motivating a commercially focused team.

Developing existing key accounts and identifying opportunities for additional services.

Taking a hands-on approach to business development, client meetings, presentations and negotiations.

Creating and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue, profitability and market share.

Monitoring sales activity, performance, pipelines and commercial targets.

Working closely with internal operational teams to deliver solutions that meet customers' requirements.

Helping shape the future direction and growth of an established business.

What we're looking for

We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:

Proven experience in B2B sales, business development and account management.

Experience selling into engineering, manufacturing, industrial, automotive, rail or other technical markets.

A successful track record of winning new business and growing existing accounts.

Experience managing, developing or coaching a sales team.

Confidence dealing with senior stakeholders and negotiating commercial agreements.

A proactive, hands-on approach to sales leadership.

Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of revenue, margins, forecasting and performance.

The ambition and drive to make a genuine impact on a growing operation..

What's on offer?

• Salary negotiable depending on experience with significant additional earning potential.

• The opportunity to develop a highly rewarding career in a commercially driven sector.

• Established relationships with major UK engineering and industrial organisations.

• A business with over 50 years of experience and a strong market reputation.

• Genuine autonomy to develop commercial strategies and influence growth.

• The opportunity to lead and develop an established team.

• Long-term career development and progression opportunities.

For the right person, it offers a chance to transfer existing sales and leadership skills into a sector where performance can be rewarded through substantial additional earnings.
