About the Role
We are partnering with a premier AV integration specialist known for delivering high-profile technical infrastructure within elite performance spaces, theatres, and large-scale entertainment venues. They are seeking a Senior AV Design Engineer / Technical Lead to oversee complex audio-visual engineering projects from inception to completion.
In this role, you’ll act as the technical anchor for the department—balancing high-level system architecture, documentation, and programming with hands-on mentoring for junior engineers.
What You'll Be Doing
Technical Ownership: Lead the end-to-end design, schematics, and technical coordination for complex professional audio-visual systems while keeping within project scopes and budgets. System Design & Programming: Specify cutting-edge hardware and configure advanced control and automation systems. Team Leadership: Mentor and guide design and systems engineers, elevating internal standards and driving technical excellence. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal project teams, external consultants, and clients to streamline engineering workflows. What You'll Bring
Experience: Strong professional background in AV design, integration, or systems engineering with a heavy focus on pro audio/video, ideally backed by direct experience working within construction, architectural coordination, or live entertainment venue environments. Technical Knowledge: Solid grasp of digital signal processing (DSP), advanced networking, and integrated control systems. Tools & Software: Proficiency in standard technical design tools, alongside hands-on experience with 3D CAD/BIM platforms such as Revit or AutoCAD 3D (with training support available for the right candidate). Mindset: A methodical, detail-oriented approach with a passion for quality and strong leadership capabilities. Requirements: Full UK driving licence and flexibility for occasional global travel. Why Apply?
This is a fantastic chance to take ownership of landmark projects and help guide the technical direction of a well-respected, collaborative team.
