Telecommunications Installation Specialist - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and independent Telecommunications Installation Specialist to join their remote team, serving the Wolverhampton area and beyond. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment and network infrastructure at client sites. You will manage your own schedule, travel to various locations, and ensure that all installations are completed to the highest standards, while handling administrative tasks from a remote base. Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, and related hardware.
• Perform site surveys and assessments to determine optimal placement and configuration for equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues and hardware malfunctions.
• Ensure all installations comply with company standards, industry best practices, and client specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all installations, configurations, and service calls.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding their telecommunications systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Installation Specialist or in a similar field.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, cable management, and telecommunications hardware.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for network testing and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
• A relevant technical certification (e.g., Cisco CCNA) is highly desirable.
