Telecommunications Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Telecommunications Project Manager to lead critical network infrastructure projects in the Liverpool, Merseyside, UK region. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex telecommunications projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of project management methodologies within the telecoms sector. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, from engineering teams to external vendors, managing all aspects of the project lifecycle in a hybrid work environment that combines office presence with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
• Manage project execution, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Manage relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and expectation setting.
• Oversee the procurement process for necessary equipment and services.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience (5+ years) managing telecommunications or IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
• Excellent understanding of telecommunications technologies and network deployment processes.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
