Telecommunications Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Telecommunications Project Manager to oversee and drive key projects within their organisation, based in Portsmouth . This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of telecommunications infrastructure and service deployment projects. You will manage project scope, budgets, timelines, and resources, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of telecommunications projects from initiation to closure.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management.
• Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.
• Manage project timelines, track progress, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to all stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a strong focus on telecommunications projects.
• Demonstrable success in managing complex projects involving network infrastructure, fibre deployment, or similar.
• Excellent understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Asana, or Jira.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.
