About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Telecommunications Solutions Architect to spearhead the design of next-generation network solutions in Edinburgh . This senior role involves translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technical architectures for our client's advanced communication platforms. You will play a critical role in defining the future of our client's technology strategy, working with cutting-edge technologies and influencing product roadmaps within the dynamic Scottish technology scene. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a proven ability to architect complex systems in the telecoms industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technical solutions for telecommunications services, encompassing network, compute, and storage aspects.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact and applicability to our client's offerings.
• Develop architectural blueprints, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and sales teams to ensure alignment and feasibility of proposed solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the solution development and deployment lifecycle.
• Conduct technical workshops and present architectural designs to internal stakeholders and clients.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Solutions Architect or Senior Systems Engineer within the telecoms sector.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), and virtualization platforms.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex, scalable, and highly available systems.
• Experience with SDN, NFV, 5G core network technologies, and cloud-native architectures.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Relevant industry certifications and a strong academic background in Computer Science or Engineering.
