Telecommunications Systems Installer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified Telecommunications Systems Installer to join their team in Glasgow . This hybrid role will involve on-site installations and maintenance of telecommunications equipment at client locations, complemented by remote planning, diagnostics, and client support. You will play a key role in deploying and managing voice and data communication systems, ensuring reliable connectivity for businesses across Scotland. This position demands a blend of practical field skills and the ability to provide effective remote technical assistance, contributing to seamless communication solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications hardware, including PBX systems, VoIP phones, and network cabling.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in telecommunication systems, both on-site and remotely.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on existing telecommunication infrastructure.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications for system installation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding system usage and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and equipment inventory.

Requirements

• Proven experience in installing and maintaining telecommunication systems.
• Knowledge of various telecommunication technologies, including VoIP, digital telephony, and structured cabling.
• Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Relevant certifications in telecommunications or IT are a plus.
