Key Responsibilities

• Install and terminate fibre optic cables in various environments, including residential, commercial, and external plant.
• Perform fibre optic splicing, testing, and fault location using specialized equipment.
• Read and interpret network diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all fibre optic installations meet industry standards and company quality benchmarks.
• Troubleshoot and repair fibre optic network issues to restore service efficiently.

Requirements

• Experience in fibre optic cable installation and maintenance.
• Proficiency with fibre optic testing equipment (e.g., OTDR, fusion splicers).
• Understanding of fibre optic network principles and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with good problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work across different sites within the Sheffield area and adhere to strict safety protocols relevant to the telecoms industry.
