Our client is seeking a dedicated Telecoms Field Service Engineer to join their essential operations team based in Cardiff . This hands-on role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment at client sites across the region. You will be the frontline representative of our client's commitment to service excellence, ensuring the seamless operation of vital communication networks for businesses. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission telecommunications systems, including fibre optics, copper, and wireless technologies.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic testing on network equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond promptly to service calls, diagnosing and resolving technical faults efficiently.
• Document all work performed, including installation details, repairs, and test results.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients on-site.
• Adhere to all company health and safety procedures while working in the field.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role in the telecoms industry.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications hardware, software, and installation procedures.
• Proficiency in fault diagnosis and repair of network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for working with electrical and network equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
• A full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the designated area.
