Telecoms Field Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and skilled Telecoms Field Technician to join their operational team based in Coventry . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure at customer sites and within our client's network. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless delivery of our client's services, maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. This position requires a practical individual who enjoys problem-solving in diverse environments and contributing directly to the company's operational success within the telecoms industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain telecoms equipment , including fibre optic cables, broadband routers, and related hardware.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot faults on customer premises and network infrastructure.
• Ensure all installations and repairs meet industry standards and company quality guidelines.
• Manage van stock and tools effectively, maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Provide excellent customer service, explaining technical issues and solutions clearly to clients.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations on all work sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Technician or in a similar hands-on telecoms role.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications networks, including copper and fibre optic technologies.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Excellent practical skills in cabling, installation, and repair.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential for site visits.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
