About the Role

Our client requires a diligent and skilled Telecoms Field Technician to join their operational team based in Coventry . This hands-on role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure at various client sites across the region. You will be the frontline representative, ensuring seamless connectivity and providing essential technical support to customers. The ideal candidate will be proactive, customer-focused, and possess a strong understanding of telecom systems , working independently to deliver high-quality service in the Coventry area.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including fibre optic cables, routers, and mobile network hardware.
• Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic checks on network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond promptly to service calls for repairs and troubleshooting, resolving issues efficiently in the field.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and company procedures during all site visits and installations.
• Provide clear and concise technical reports on work completed, issues encountered, and resolutions.
• Liaise with customers to explain technical issues and provide basic user support.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Telecoms Technician or in a similar field service role.
• Solid understanding of telecommunications principles, including copper and fibre optic cabling standards.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, test equipment, and diagnostic software relevant to the role.
• A valid UK driving license and a clean driving record are essential for site visits.
• Ability to work effectively independently and manage time efficiently to meet service level agreements.
• Good physical condition to handle equipment and work in various environmental conditions around Coventry .
