About the Role
Our client is actively looking for a reliable and customer-focused Telecoms Field Technician to join their team based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment at customer sites and within the network infrastructure. You will act as the face of the company, providing excellent service and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position requires an individual who is comfortable working independently, possesses strong practical skills, and is dedicated to delivering high-quality service on every job, contributing directly to the company's reputation for reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and connect telecommunication lines, equipment, and services at customer premises.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in telephone lines, broadband connections, and associated equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on network infrastructure and customer equipment.
- Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests in a timely manner.
- Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and potential challenges.
- Ensure all work is completed to high standards and complies with company policies and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Experience in a field service or technical support role, preferably in telecommunications.
- Good understanding of basic electrical principles and telecommunications hardware.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Strong practical and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- A valid UK driving license is essential for this role.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
