Telecoms Installation Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on Telecoms Installation Technician to join their team in the Bradford area. This role is crucial for deploying and setting up various telecommunications systems and equipment for residential and business customers. You will be responsible for ensuring that installations are completed correctly, efficiently, and safely, meeting all technical specifications and customer expectations. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, enjoys physical work, and has excellent customer interaction skills, contributing to the company's reputation for reliable service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, connect, and test telecommunications equipment, including modems, routers, and fiber optic cables.
• Perform site surveys to determine optimal installation points and cable routes.
• Diagnose and resolve basic installation-related issues encountered on-site.
• Ensure all installations are neat, secure, and compliant with industry standards and company policies.
• Educate customers on the basic functionality and setup of their new telecommunications services.
• Maintain accurate installation records and report on completed work through the company's systems.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role, such as an Installation Technician or an apprentice in telecommunications or electrical fields.
• Understanding of basic network cabling, fiber optics, and wireless technologies.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment relevant to installations.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete tasks within set schedules.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
• Must possess a valid UK driving license and be comfortable with manual labor.
