About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Telecoms Installation Technician to join their team in Leeds . You will be responsible for the physical installation and setup of various telecommunications equipment and cabling systems within residential and commercial environments. This role requires practical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to follow technical specifications precisely. Key Responsibilities

• Install and terminate copper and fibre optic cabling according to industry standards and project specifications.
• Mount and connect telecommunications equipment, including modems, routers, and distribution boxes.
• Test installed cabling and equipment using appropriate diagnostic tools to verify functionality and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic installation-related issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details and test results.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times, adhering to company policies and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Previous experience in telecoms installation , electrical work, or a related trade is essential.
• Understanding of structured cabling systems and telecommunications standards.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in installation work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation manuals.
• Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments, including heights.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
