About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Telecoms Network Administrator to manage and maintain their critical network infrastructure in Brighton . This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all network systems, including servers, routers, and communication lines. You will be involved in day-to-day system administration, performance monitoring, and the implementation of network enhancements to support business operations. Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain network servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal speed.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including user access controls and intrusion detection systems.
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Install, configure, and update network hardware and software.
• Provide technical support to end-users and resolve network-related problems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
• Experience with network hardware from major vendors.
• Familiarity with network security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or similar are beneficial.
