Telecoms Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proficient Telecoms Network Administrator to manage and maintain their robust network infrastructure. This fully remote position offers the chance to take ownership of critical network operations, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability for the organization. You will be responsible for day-to-day administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, working collaboratively with a distributed IT team. Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN gateways.
• Monitor network performance and security using established tools, identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Implement and manage network security policies and procedures to protect company assets.
• Perform regular backups and ensure disaster recovery capabilities are in place.
• Respond to network alerts and incidents, providing timely resolution and communication.
• Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and hardware replacements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and network security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware from major vendors.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks effectively in a remote setting.
