About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Telecoms Network Analyst to join their team in a fully remote capacity, supporting operations from Plymouth, Devon . This role is critical for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance and reliability of the company's telecommunications network. You will be responsible for identifying trends, diagnosing issues, and providing actionable insights to ensure the smooth functioning of our communication services. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of network performance metrics, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic, remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time network performance and traffic patterns, identifying anomalies and potential issues.
• Analyze network data to diagnose root causes of performance degradation or service interruptions.
• Develop and maintain performance reports, dashboards, and alerts for key network metrics.
• Recommend and implement network tuning and optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with network engineers to test and validate new configurations and software updates.
• Contribute to capacity planning by analyzing usage trends and forecasting future requirements.
• Document findings, recommendations, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in network analysis or a similar role within the telecommunications industry.
• Proficiency in using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP , routing protocols, and network traffic analysis.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for data analysis is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
