Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal connectivity and service delivery.
• Implement network security measures and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Participate in network design and planning activities to support future growth and enhancements.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps accurately.
• Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in network engineering or a similar IT support role within the telecoms sector .
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
• Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment based in Cambridgeshire .
