About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting for a dedicated Telecoms Network Operations Centre (NOC) Analyst to join their essential team in Belfast . This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity and performance of our client's telecommunications network infrastructure, operating 24/7. You will be responsible for monitoring network activity, identifying and resolving incidents, and escalating complex issues to appropriate teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring network stability and uptime in a critical service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and availability using sophisticated NOC tools .
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve network incidents and outages in a timely manner.
- Log all incidents, actions taken, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Escalate critical issues to senior engineers or relevant departments according to established procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers regarding network status and incident resolution.
- Participate in shift rotations to provide continuous network surveillance and support.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a Network Operations Centre (NOC) or similar monitoring environment.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and routing protocols.
- Experience with network monitoring software (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
